Special Message from Cody....

hey...this is Cody...with a special message.

hey....I tried Mr. Zook's "Nathen Hale's Garbage Pail" and all I could say was...

"hey man, what's all this stuff?...it was horrible"

hey, in fact I may never drink beer again after trying that stuff...man it tasted like paint thinner. Smelled like the dude that rides in the truck with me after a 10 hour shift. Uggggh!

Ban that Zook guy from EVER making beer again.

Thank-you....and that's all I have to say about that - Cody

PS...hey, that girl with the freckles...man she's allright....

Ok, so the Rooster Brewing Company has opened the Mr. Beer kit box and stared at it for at least a full 10 minutes....that's how far I've gotten.

We need to set a date for the tasting contest? Give me ideas...probably a Sunday evening.

A Hazy Shade of.....Spring?

Updates Galore!

Andrew Maze aka "The Appreciator" has begun brewing his
"Hazey Maze Blue Ale
" and he's heralding it as and I quote,
"The Worlds best Pale Ale"
...so there you have it! We look forward to it Andrew! CHEERS!

John is working like a mad-scientist on overtime on his upcoming...what? "Donut Ale" maybe? John's keeping a tight-lid on exactly what he's got brewing but it's SERIOUS! Watch out! Reports indicate that he wears his lab coat at home while working in his secret lab.

Rooster Ale is still in the box. (I don't know what the hell I'm doing.)

PS...John...need a link to that beer shop in Winter Park ...hit me w/ some info so I can get it posted!

Gentlemen, START YOUR BREWING!

Here are the rules:
1. The Mr. Beer "basic kit" is to be used. You can change the recipe all you want...that is the whole point of this contest
Do some research...get the wife/girlfriend/fiance' involved...call Anheuser-Busch if you want to...it's your baby.

2. Beers will be judged on the following:

A. Appearance
B. Taste
C. Drinkability
D. Packaging (get creative with your labels!)

3. All 4/5 of us will sample each brew at the official Tasting Event using scorecards to rate each brew. We will also bring in an outside judge to sample each particular brew and add weight to the final score.

4. Admission is $5.00 which will go to the winner after The Official Tasting Event!

5. Tentative date for the "The Official Tasting Event" is May 9th.

So far we have Johnny Donuts, The Rooster, Slush, the Appreciator, and The Flow.
